As many items in education change, one item has stayed the same for years:  The Plan Book!!!  This is no longer the case.   A group of teachers set out to create a customizable, database driven, and web accessible plan book.  Webbook is the result of 3 years of work and is an open source PHP/MySql project.
Webbook was developed and beta-tested by teachers.  Because ot this teacher involvement, it is a unique educational product.  We are continually upgrading the project with custom changes and other open source projects.  Webbook currently contains the following features:

* Integrated District Calendar

* Multiple Classes Per Instructor

* Quick Entry/Quick View

* Integrated HTML Editor for Custom Color-Coding

* Lesson Plan and File Uploader

* Administrative Planbook Viewer

Hello Everyone!!!  The new version of the plan book is still in BETA at a couple of sites.  We are working out the bugs and will have the full version (with installation instructions) available soon.  We apologize for the delay, but our classrooms have first priority :) -> yes, we really are teachers!!!

We have been frantically working on the back end of the planbook and we missed our deadline (end of February).  We added a screenshot page and we are cleaning up code on a lot of administrative pages.  Here are some features we have added after alpha testing:

* District Principals and Secretaries can see all scheduled items from all component school districts (not teacher items) 

* Principals have all abilities of school secretary

We will be adding news more regularly now that we are approaching a beta release date.
